The Dermatology Group is pleased to welcome Janet Worobel, a certified physician assistant (PA-C), to our practice. Ms. Worobel was board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants in May 2000, after earning an M.S. from the University of Medicine at Seton Hall University. She is now a fellow of both the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, with more than three years’ experience caring for dermatology patients.
 

If you’ve never been treated by a PA before, you may be surprised to see how much they can do. A PA works under the direction of a physician, handling routine care such as skin cancer examinations, ordering laboratory tests, biopsies, cryotherapy (freezing), wound closure (stitches), and writing prescriptions. In addition to her graduate degree and certification, Ms. Worobel has years of experience treating patients with disorders such as acne, rosacea, psoriasis, dermatitis, and skin cancer.
