The Derm Group often conducts clinical trials in New Jersey to test new medications or treatments. In the past, these studies have included acne, psoriasis, melanomas and atopic dermatitis.
Patients who volunteer and are selected for a clinical trial participate at no cost to them or their insurance companies. Patients are required to have regular office visits and follow all the treatment protocols. Medications and all exams are free; in addition, most studies reimburse participants for time and travel. All research programs have been approved by institutional review boards, maintain patient confidentiality and follow safety guidelines.
Current Clinical Trials
Atopic Dermatitis Study for adults with Moderate-to-Severe Atopic Dermatitis (Oral Tablet)
This study is being conducted to evaluate the clinical efficacy, safety and tolerability of RPT193 administered orally, once a day, for 16 weeks to subjects with moderate-to-severe Atopic Dermatitis.
Qualification criteria includes but is not limited to:
- Adults aged 18 to 75 years with a clinically confirmed diagnosis of active AD
- At least a 12-month history of AD and no significant flares in AD for at least 4 weeks before Screening
- Documented history of inadequate response to a >1month treatment with a topical medication for AD (e.g., corticosteroids) or unable to use topical medications.
Study participation is up to 7 months with 10 Site Visits to the Verona, NJ location
Travel Reimbursement is up to $80 per completed Site Visit
